Hello, Altenew friends! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I've got some beautiful cards today focusing on the Embroidered Blooms Stamp Set.
When I first saw this stamp set, I was amazed! I became interested in learning embroidery a few weeks ago and did some shopping so I can practice it. I don't have an embroidered project to share just yet since I am still learning how to stitch properly. However, I do have two cards for you!
These layers are easy and the set just works so well with the Altenew inks. I selected random ink colors from the following sets: Pocketful of Sunshine, Sea Shore, and Shades of Purple.
I started by stamping the images randomly on two 4.25″ x 5.5″ white cardstock panels. For one of the panels, I stamped the sentiment “You are sew lovely” from Embroidered Blooms Stamp Set in Lagoon. I die cut around the sentiment with Fine Frames Rectangles Die. I glued the panel to my card base first before I mounted the frame with foam tape for dimension. Then, I glued the middle of the frame to the base.
For the second card, I started by die-cutting Dotted Scales Debossing Cover Die from white cardstock. This is one of my favorite dies to use for my base. It just adds an elegant touch to my projects. I used the Oval Embroidery Hoop Die Set and Circle Embroidery Hoop Die Set with the stamped panel. I die cut the frame with the Oval Embroidery Hoop Die from the stamped panel and also from white cardstock. With an ink blending tool, I blended Lavender Fields on one of the Oval Embroidery Hoop die-cuts. I ran the stitched sentiment “You are sew amazing” with the inner panel through my die-cutting machine.
The stitched sentiments are great if you want to add a sentiment but don't want to take away focus from the stamped images. I glued the pieces together onto my card base and added a bit of foam tape under the top piece of the hoop die.
You can create so many cards with these stamps and dies, using various color combinations. I hope you were inspired to try creating your own! Be sure to tag us on social media when you do. Thanks so much for stopping by!
