Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing how you can get a beautiful tarnished gold look using mirror cardstock and alcohol inks.
Creating an elegant look with mirror cardstock and alcohol inks
To start, I took a 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and added Yellow Ochre and Sicilian AmberAlcohol Inks over it. I just love how this looks, the mirror cardstock takes the alcohol inks perfectly and you could also try lots of different colors too!
I then cut this panel using the detail die from Pattern Motif Die Set. I added some Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Vellum and cut this using both dies in the set. I also cut a piece of Navy Cardstock with the shadow die from the set.
Then, I layered the vellum detailed die-cut into place over the navy die-cut and the gold die-cut over the vellum shadow die-cut. These were then added into place onto a contrasting panel before being added to a card base. For the sentiment, I used Sentiments Strips 3 Stamp Set.
To see how these cards came together please watch the video below. Or over on YouTube:
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you give this look a try with your alcohol inks and mirror cardstock.

I’m a little less intimidated by alcohol ink after watching your video. I just might have to try it out.
This looks like a great technique!
Lovely!
So gorgeous!
