Hello friends!

Svitlana is here with an easy monochromatic card idea you can make in minutes featuring some recently released products. I like creating one or two-toned cards. They make color-coordinating off the table and, at the same time, look quite effective.

Easy Monochromatic Card

I started making my card by creating the lacy background using the Detailed Web Cover Die.

First, I blended Sapphire Dye Ink onto a Solar White Cardstock panel using a Large Blending Tool. Next, I made a die-cut of the cover die out of light blue cardstock and adhered it onto the panel.

After that, I moved on to creating flowers for my card.

Easy Monochromatic Card

To make the flowers for this monochromatic card, I used the Wispy Joy Stamp Set and the set of matching dies from the May 2022 Dreams Come True Release.

To speed up things a little bit, I made die-cuts for all the elements out of a Solar White Cardstock. I did two die-cuts of each larger flower, three die-cuts of the smaller flower, and, as far as the leaves go, I made four die-cuts each.

Next, I started stamping onto the die-cuts using my mini MISTI. To make aligning easy, I placed each die-cut into its corresponding negative space in the cardstock that I previously cut it out of, aligning the stamps with it.

Then, I just needed to replace the same die-cuts in the negative space to stamp onto them. Preparing the die-cuts in advance saved me time on aligning dies along with the stamped images (if I did stamping first).

Easy Monochromatic Card

I used the Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue, and Sapphire Dye Inks to stamp the flowers, and Limestone, Silver Stone, and Industrial Diamond Dye Inks to stamp the leaves.

To soften the card a bit, I decided to use white embossing for the element outline parts. After stamping all layers in ink, I heat embossed the corresponding outline images using the Pure White Embossing Powder.

I opted to add outlines at the end as if they were made first. TIP! Raised heat-embossed images would prevent the solid layers to be stamped completely.

After I finished creating the floral elements, I adhered them to the panel and adhered the panel onto a white card base.

To finish off this monochromatic card, I popped up the sentiment onto it. The sentiment was made using the Birthday Builder Stamp Set.

This set is one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets! It has so many different options to create a basic birthday greeting and is suitable for cards of any style. I especially like this cursive one, which you may have seen me use quite a lot.

I hope you like the easy card idea I shared with you today and I hope your weekend will be crafty.
