Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here, and today I would like to share with you a simple and fun card created with Magnolia Ballerina Stamp Set and the paper piecing technique.
The paper piecing technique is an easy way to add color, pattern, or texture to any design. It’s a great alternative for coloring and a perfect way to reuse any leftovers of patterned paper or colored cardstock from your stash.
4 Simple Steps to Create a Card with the Paper Piecing Technique
- First, I stamped a Ballerina Magnolia image from the set onto my card base with Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink.
- Next, I stamped the same image on different scraps of patterned papers from the Alluring Blooms 6×6 Starter Paper Pack.
- I fussy cut the stamped images with scissors and glued every piece to the card base. I lifted the edges of the petals up for more dimension.
- To finish my card, I stamped an accompanying sentiment from the set with black ink and die cut it with a circle die from Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set.
There you have it! Have you tried paper piecing on your handmade cards? Let me know in the comment section below!
