Easy Mistletoe Wreath Holiday Card

by Svitlana Shayevich

Hello, crafty friends!

Svitlana is here today, sharing an easy holiday card featuring a bold design as well as a couple of fun crafty products.

Mistletoe Wreath Holiday Card

I started making the holiday card by creating a 3D plaid background. To do so, I embossed a Dark Gray Cardstock panel using the Basic Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

Mistletoe Wreath Holiday CardTo add more drama to the embossed background, I blended the Pure Graphite Dye Ink around the panel edges. After that, I sprinkled it slightly with water to bring a bit more texture.

I used the Mistletoe Wreath Bundle to create the main element of the card – a mistletoe wreath. The wreath was stamped onto a Solar White Cardstock using the Mistletoe Wreath Stamp Set with Jet Black Dye Ink.

After that, I colored it using the Mistletoe Wreath Simple Coloring Stencil Set. I used the Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Forest Glades, Evergreen, and Dark Chocolate Dye Inks for coloring, as well as the Mini Blending Brush Set.

Next, the mistletoe wreath was die cut using the matching Mistletoe Wreath Die Set.

Additionally, I colored the white areas around the wreath and in between its elements with a black brush pen from the Fine Liner Pen Set.

To make the sentiment banner, I used the stamps and die from the same Mistletoe Wreath Bundle, which I embossed using a red embossing powder onto a Dark Gray Cardstock and die cut afterward.

To assemble this easy holiday card, I popped up the mistletoe wreath onto the background, followed by popping up the sentiment banner on top. The background panel was adhered to a card base of the same cardstock. Several red sequins finished off the holiday card.

The colors (black and red) help make this card look so elegant.
