Hello friends! Svitlana here, and today I want to share a duo-chromatic card featuring the recently released Dynamic Duo: Painted Floral Swag. The color solution I was going for is a lot of greens with some pop of yellow color.

Duo-Chromatic Card with Dynamic Duo: Painted Floral Swag

I used the Dynamic Duo: Painted Floral Swag to create the floral focal point element for my duo-chromatic card.

First, using the Dynamic Duo: Painted Floral Swag Stencil and Stamp Sets I created 2 floral swags onto a white cardstock. The inks from the Green Valley Fresh Dye Ink Set were used for leaves and the Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Ink Set was used to create flowers.

Tip: I made the swags a bit different in color by using darker inks from the sets for one and one level lighter for another.

After I finished stenciling the swags, I added outlines using the stamps and Espresso Fresh Dye Ink.

Next, both swags were die-cut using the Dynamic Duo: Painted Floral Swag Add-on Die. There are a couple of dies in this set to die-cut the swag – one die cuts the whole swag and another one cuts all elements out of it. I used both of them to die-cut a lot of separate elements, which I layered on the background creating a clustered floral element.

Creating the Background

The background for this duo-chromatic card was created using the PixelGrid Cover Die.

First, I made two panels out of green cardstock. One panel (the one placed underneath) I inked up using the Mountain Pine Fresh Dye Ink. As I was inking it, some ink was left on my mat so I sprinkled it with water and picked up the ink puddles with another panel, adding some texture to it. This panel was then die-cut using the cover die.

I layered the panel and trimmed around the edges to make them of 4″ x 5.25″.

The sentiment was made using the Elegant Sayings Stamp & Die Bundle. I white embossed the sentiment onto a green cardstock and then inked it up with the Mountain Pine Fresh Dye Ink, to match the background. Several Green Valley Enamel Dots finished off the card. Here's another duo-chromatic card I've created in the past.

What do you think about my duo-chromatic card? Have you tried just using 2 colors for your cards? Let me know in the comment section below!
