Hello, friends!
Svitlana is here today. When it comes to choosing a color scheme for a card design I tend to choose unusual, or non-traditional if you will, combinations. But usually, I apply them to the card's main elements (which most of the times are flowers). This time I decided to try something else and played with the background, leaving the flowers white.
So I started by cutting a panel out of a Solar White Cardstock and blending the Deep Iris Dye Ink onto the bottom part of it and Ocean Waves Dye Ink onto the top one.
To be honest, when I was blending these inks onto the panel I wasn't sure how it would turn out. I was just trying. And when I finished blending, I was just wowed. What a mesmerizing color wave!
Next, I added some splatters onto the background using the Pure White Ink Spray.
Then I stamped several elements from the Garden Treasure Stamp Set onto a Solar White Cardstock using the Deep Iris Dye Ink and die-cut them with the matching dies. Also, I die-cut the sentiment out of a Solar White Cardstock using the Miss You Die.
I adhered all elements onto the panel, which I then foam mounted onto a white card base. Lastly, I added several white crystals.
This design is relatively quick and very simple and can be easily reproduced in any other color scheme.
Have a wonderful day!
