Hi, friends!
Svitlana here. I want to share a dramatic floral birthday card with you today. This card was so easy to make as I used a washi tape as my main product. Here I used the Calming Bouquet Washi Tape. It's very handy to have a couple rolls of washi tape for your taste in your stash as they can be quite helpful when you need to quickly create a card.
I started making the card by applying the washi tape onto a sheet of 80lb Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I went with a thinner cardstock to get a lighter floral element. After that, I fussy cut several floral images out of the “washi-taped” cardstock.
Next, I made a panel out of a Jet Black Cardstock and applied the Embossing Paste onto it through the Sunburst Stencil. To add some interest towards the edges of the panel, I applied the paste rather unevenly and not fully covering the stencil openings with the paste. After that, I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
Then, I adhered the washi tape floral elements onto the card, layering them to create some dimension.
Lastly, I white embossed a sentiment on a black strip of cardstock using stamps from the Birthday Builder Stamp Set, fussy cut it and popped up onto the card.
I hope you like the card I've shared today. As I mentioned above – having such washi tapes can be very handy. And, in general, working with them is a great pleasure.
Have a wonderful day!

How truly unique. So creative.
this card is a show stopper for sure! I love your background. It really adds a lot of interest. And those floral’s are beautiful, although, I am not a huge fan of fussy cutting. But to achieve theses type of results, I think I could fussy cut!
This card is beautiful. I love how you layered the washi pieces, so creative and very inspiring.
WOWZERS this is Gorgeous! Love how the embossing paste is sketchy is a few areas!
This is really pretty Svitlana! I love all the layers!
I like how the layers of washi tape look on the darker paper. I haven’t tried using embossing paste on dark paper. Really like how the stencil effect looks not entirely filled in. Can’t wait to try this out.
