Hello everyone!
Today I'm here to share with you unusual project so hope you will support me!
Spring is the best time for the home garden renewal! I had a brown flower clay pot from Ikea and decided to decorate it using Altenew Floral Drape Stencil and some chalk paint.
We will need a Floral Drape Stencil, a Glue tape, a brush, paint, stamps and a pencil to start.
First we need to do is to turn our stencil into adhesive one. The Glue tape is very easy to use for this purpose.
I used three chalk paint colors for this project. Once the stencil is adhered around the pot we can take a brush or sponge to paint the pot through the stencil.
After that stencil can be removed and we can make an outline around the image with the second color. For the centers of the flowers I used third color and added stamens using partial stamping with Adore You stamp set and Dark Chocolate Crisp Dye Ink.
Finally I added a final touch with a pencil and Stickles.
Hope this DIY idea will inspire you to bring some fresh updates to your garden!

This is Sooooo Pretty!! Great idea TFS!!!
This is an excellent example of how diverse one can be with stencils, paint, pens and some imagination. Beautiful and apparently Kitty approved! Thank you for the idea.
This is such a cool project and it came out AWESOME. I also decorate my flower pots with my stencils, it is such a fun project to do. I have tons of them on our lanai, huge, medium and small ones and I have them stenciled in many different ways. I don’t just stick to flowers, some have birds ( I also stenciled the 5 bird houses we have ) some have words, some just have my favorite stencils on them. My favorite is in my actual garden down in the yard my husband made me, he also found the coolest old wheelbarrel that he sanded down and painted for me and then I put stencils on the outside and planted gerber daises in there which is my favorite flower. We have several bird baths also which I have stenciled. If you haven’t tried it, you should it is such much fun.
Beautiful results Sveta, well done. Looks like your kitty cat approves too :-P
I love how you did this! I’ve tried to do this with my stencils but mine are all plastic and can’t be bent to put around a flower pot. However, plain old flower pots like yours was are so boring. I painted some big dots on a flower pot that I have and I put some washi tape around the top and bottom of the pot. I love how it came out. You would never guess I had painted them by hand. I used acrylic paint on it because I keep it outside with flowers in that I grow by seeds.
So beautiful…I happen to have a new flower pot on hand and would love to give this a try. Thanks for the inspiration.
What a fabulous idea and beautiful project. I might just give this a try. Would be great for some ‘cans’ for desk storage too. Thanks for sharing.
What a totally stunning project sveta. I absolutely love the idea and the beautiful way you have used the stencil . Thank you so much for sharing.
