A different approach to CAS style

by Aga

Hello Everyone! Aga here to share a quick and easy card using Beautiful Day set. My favourite card style is clean and simple with lots of white space but sometimes, I love to challenge myself in doing something different. For my card today, I wanted to try a different approach to my usual CAS style and I used brown kraft card base instead of white cardstock.

I used black ink to stamp flowers and leaves and used a masking technique to create the floral arrangement for my background. For my sentiment I used a bold “thinking of you” from Thinking of You set. Then I stamped a flower with black and two leaves with Forest Glades and Evergreen inks on white cardstock. I cut it out them using coordinating dies and adhered. I used foam tape for the flower to add some extra dimension to the whole design.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great rest of the weekend!

I wish I knew a hundred ways of saying “Beautiful” – this design is exquisite and I feel I must try it. I am also wondering if it would work for other colored base cards. Thank you so much Aga for sharing and inspiring :-)

Wonderful card design. I just recently purchased this set of images so I was so happy to see you using it. Thanks for the inspiration! It is always difficult for me to get a white image to look realistic and this certainly does make it pop more with a darker background design.

Can anybody explain to me what CAS means, I often read it in different blogs but I don’t not know really what it means. I live in Germany and my english is not perfect.
