Hi, it’s Debby here today, and I have a card to share inspired by a design which dropped into my inbox!
Design inspiration is all around us and I recently wrote a blog post on discovering design style and what inspires me and the surprises that I have found along the way. Well, in line with this process of discovery, I was sat at my computer the other day and going through my emails when one from a UK stationery company, Fox and Star, dropped into my inbox regarding a free postage and packaging offer for National Stationery Week.
Needless to say, I ordered a few stationery goodies. But as I looked at the email, the graphic advertising the offer really stood out to me and the more I looked at it, the more I realized it would translate into a card perfectly.
CRAFTY FRIENDS
Looking through my Altenew ink swatches, I picked out a color scheme of Blush, Mango Smoothie and Sea Glass for the background, and Crimson for the lettering.
For the background, I blended the ink colors into white pieces of card, then trimmed them at an angle and adhered to another white panel which I'd cut to be slightly smaller than an A2 card base. I then adhered this colorful panel with foam adhesive to a white card base.
On a smaller panel of white cardstock, I stamped a sentiment from the Crafty Friends Stamp Set in Crimson ink. I then added the envelope icon and coordinating sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I foam mounted the sentiment panel over the colorful background and then foam mounted skinny strips of black cardstock above and below the panel.
Thanks for joining me today and I'll see you next time!

What a lovely card and inspiration!
Isn’t it so fun that we find inspiration in everyday tasks. I love this sentiment and it is so perfect with these cool colors. Nicely done.
Love card Debby and such sweet colours.
This is great Debby. Sometimes I find myself looking at something and realize that I am translating it over to a card possibility. LOL It may be a dress, a picture or any random item that catches my eye. I am trying to do it intentionally now just to challenge myself to do something “outside the box”.
Well done.
Love this clean and graphic design, Debby !
So pretty and inspiring.
Love this CAS card and I have the stamps and love using them
