Out & About Ensemble
The Out & About Ensemble showcases some adorable pandas and lovely bamboo trees. Combine products from this ensemble to create beautiful scenes that may be used as backgrounds or focal points. You may also use each product in this ensemble by itself, or even perfect pair it with other Altenew products!
I have made two adorable cards using the fabulous Out & About Ensemble!
Are You READY?
Today's cards are both very clean and simple, but just how do you add that modern edge?
Modern Card Idea # 1 – Use Unexpected Color
An easy way to take an image to the next level is to stamp it in an unexpected color. Have you ever seen a Pinkalicious Panda before? Personally, I think she looks divine. I did use a Fine Liner Pen to add her sweet face, but you could certainly recreate it without doing this.
Using the Out & About Ensemble made creating easy. The Bamboo Branches Simple Coloring Stencil and coordinating 3D Embossing Folder was the perfect partner for this Panda. And yes, I have used some slightly unexpected Bamboo Branches colors here too.
The “Smile always” sentiment is from the Stunning Sakura Stamp Set.
PRO TIP!
Make the most of ‘white spaces' on your card designs, this will add to the ‘modern' look.
Modern Card Idea # 2 – Add a Party Hat!
This time I kept my Panda in its expected color, but added a quirky party hat! I used the Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate and some Brass Hot Foil to create the shiny stripes. Then, I added color using the Hawaiian Shores Brush and Fine Tip Pens.
I popped up the image and the hat so that I could add a fun pom pom. The cute “take it easy” sentiment is from the Roaming Pandas Stamp Set, which is also part of the Out & About Ensemble.
BONUS IDEA!
Don't want a party hat? Why not add a balloon, a cup of coffee or even pop up a heart in his hands.

1 Product, Multiple Ways!
Before you go, here are a few card ideas featuring the Out & About Ensemble!
What's better than a panda? Why, multiple cute pandas, of course! We just know that the recipient of Therese's adorable card will be all smiles! We love the coordinating colors of the bamboo on the background and the bamboo that the furry pandas are eating.
Minimalistic designs are best paired with some good ol' embossing and hot foiling! Here, we have Nathalie's beautiful panda card topped with sparkling sentiments from the Vertical Greetings set.
Teamwork makes the dream work, as seen in the two pandas helping each other to reach the bamboo tree in Terri's card. The scene and coloring are just gorgeous!
Michelle's card features a stunning realistic-looking bamboo set against a dark background. The card brandishes a cuddly panda with an “I miss you” sentiment. Through coloring, she gave beautiful highlights and shadows to the image.
The magnificent colors of the Lagoon Crisp Dye Ink really stood out on Dana's card! We adore how her card focused on the lovely bamboo in the background together with a bold “happy birthday” sentiment stamped in black.
