Well, today, I am going to show you how I have used this small set and a few inks to tell a story in a pocket page format. Let's check out today's project!
Keep on reading for more tips and project ideas using this new mini stamp and die set!
Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait Dahlia
Did you know that the Café Au Lait Dahlia that can grow 8″ – 10″ wide is almost every bride's favorite due to its profuse & magnificent creamy blossoms tinged with peachy light pink overtones? This stamp set has a silhouette of the Dahlia with two leaves. You can stamp it multiple times and in different directions to make your project look stunning!
I am using the Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait Dahlia as an embellishment, background, title, and interactive element (sort of) for my pocket spread. Can you believe all that you can create with this small set!
Create Embellishments
The delicate and detailed design of the new Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait is perfect to create as many flowers as you can with just ink. For my page, I am using the new Trailblazing Fresh Dye Ink Bundle to create all the flowers that decorate my pockets. I am combining all the colors when it comes to building the floral clusters as they are the ones bringing the color to the page.
Create a Title
One of the perks of the new Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait Dahlia is that it is filled with very useful sentiments. I have combined some of them to stamp the title on my card using Obsidian Pigment Ink. The main title for the spread is also a combination of one of these sentiments and the Greatest Blessings Stamp & Die Bundle.
Create a Background
I love the versatility of the new Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait! This time, I am using it as a background builder. My choice to use a very soft color ink and to focus only on one of the stamp designs bring interest to the card without overwhelming the overall look. Imagine the possibilities for creating patterned paper or your card panels.
Create an Interactive Element
Finally, I am using the floral designs of the Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait to help me create a flap that covers my journaling cards. The idea of having the “card flap” outside of the pocket adds texture and interest to the page. I am sprucing up the design with the addition of the Storybook Frame 3D Embossing Folder and the Greatest Blessings Stamp & Die Bundle.
You can see how I created the complete spread in the following video. You can watch it here or in HD on the Altenew YouTube channel:
I hope the video gives you a bit of inspiration on the possibilities of the new Mini Delight: Cafe Au Lait Dahlia, and all you can do with it!
