Bold Bouquet
Add some floral elegance to your projects with these Bold Bouquet products. The 4″ x 6″ Bold Bouquet Stamp Set showcases a beautiful floral arrangement drawn in a bold, expressive style. The highlight of the bouquet is a large lily embraced by roses, camellias, and an abundance of gorgeous foliage. Two bold greetings and fifteen accompanying sentiments complete this set.
Bold Bouquet Project
For my project today, I wanted to show a quick and easy way to help make colors pop!

Flowers & Stenciling
I started off by stamping the image from the Bold Bouquet Outline Stamp Set onto a tag that was cut using the Terrific Tags Die Set from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock. I stamped it using Permanent Black Ink in the Stampwheel.
I took the Bold Bouquet Simple Coloring Stencil Set and one by one placed the stencils on top of the tag (holding them in place with the Stampwheel Sticky Mat). I then added ink blending to the flowers and leaves using a Mini Blending Brush.

I used Rose Petal Crisp Dye Inks for the pinks flowers and Lapis Lazuli Crisp Dye Inks for the blue flower. I used all four ink shades to add depth to the flowers. For the leaves, I used Green Valley Crisp Dye Inks. I really love how bold and vibrant these colors are!
Make the Colors Pop!
Although I loved the colors against the white tag base, I thought that they might pop more with a dark background. I do not have the coordinating dies, whilst I could have fussy cut the image out and adhered it with foam tape, I thought I would color the rest of the tag black and make it appear that the image is popping off from the tag.
I took the Jet Black Artist Alcohol Marker and carefully colored around the edges of the image, filling in the rest of the tag. You can see in the video that as I am doing this, the colors in the flowers and leaves are becoming even more vibrant and it really helps them to pop!

Finishing the Tag
I die cut another of the tags from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock and adhered it to the back of the stamped one, using Glue Tape. This gives me a clean place to write a personal message.
For the sentiment, I die cut the ‘hello' from the Versatile Greetings Die Set five times from Jet Black Cardstock. I adhered them one on top of another for dimension and then onto the tag. At the last minute, I decided to add a white die cut sentiment on top. I really like the shadow the black cardstock creates underneath the white layer.

I tied twine through the top of the tag and tied in a bow. To finish off, I added Cherry Blossom Enamel Dots to embellish.
I hope I have inspired you to try adding in a dark background in a different way. I also hope that you will check out the Bold Bouquet collection too, it is beautiful! You can watch the full process video below or on YouTube.
