Craft-A-Flower: Japanese Camellia Layering Die Set
Japanese Camellias are a flowering evergreen shrub species, native to Japan. They are also a popular ornamental plant in many parts of the world. Create realistic Japanese camellias with this die set! They are known for their glossy dark green leaves and beautiful, large flowers. The flowers have a distinct shape with overlapping petals and a prominent cluster of yellow stamens in the center.
Creating a 6 x 6-inch layout with die-cut paper flowers is one of my favorite crafting and scrapbooking ways. And it so happens that Craft-A-Flower die sets are perfect in size and volume for memory-keeping layouts. From this month's new release, we can create realistic Japanese camellias! There's just no way that I'll miss out on this die set!
To start, I used two of the same patterned paper from the Cute Fruits 6×6 Paper Pack and fussy cut some borders. Then, I created three Japanese camellias by using the die sets. I really love the enamel dots, so I added them to the layout and also to the die-cut flowers.
In case you're wondering, I plan to keep using this 6 x 6-inch paper pad to create a mini scrapbooking layout until I use it up!
