Hello there, Michelle here with Terrific Tags with Michelle and another episode of Creativity Unlocked featuring new Glitter Cardstock Sets. There are three new sets – Fairy Dust, Milky Way, and Shimmering Shore, which is what I am using today.
Glitter Cardstock Set Project

I started off my card by die-cutting the layers from the Bird of the Mountain Die Set. I cut a few layers from the Sea Shore Gradient Cardstock Set (Mountain Mist & Emerald), two from the Shimmering Shore Glitter Cardstock Set (Shimmering Lake & Dioptase), and one from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock.
I also cut the base layer from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock twice, so that I could stack them up for added dimension. The feet, beak, and eye were cut from Jet Black Cardstock. I adhered the layers together using liquid glue.

I love how the glitter cardstock layers add just that touch of sparkle and shine to the bird, without being too overpowering. You could definitely go all out and add more layers of glitter cardstock though, as it die cuts beautifully!
Grounding the Elements
For even more sparkle, I die cut the leaves from the Craft-A-Flower: Open Peony Layering Die Set from the darkest shade (Malachite) in the Shimmering Shore Glitter Cardstock Set.
I then cut a Terrific Tag Die from Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock. I am using this as a base to help ground both the bird and the leaves.

I took a 4″ x 5 1/2″ white card base (slightly narrower than A2, so that I can have elements overhanging the card base but it will still fit in a standard-sized envelope) and adhered two sets of leaves on top with liquid glue.
The third set of leaves was adhered to the tag. I added twine through the top of the tag and tied it in a bow. It was adhered to the card using Instant Dimension Foam Tape, followed by the bird on top.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set onto Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink and the Stampwheel.
It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
I hope I have inspired you today to add glitter to your projects with Glitter Cardstock Sets. It is a fun way to add sparkle without the mess! You can watch the full process video of my card below, or on YouTube.
