Hello there, Michelle here with Terrific Tags with Michelle and another edition of Creativity Unlocked featuring new Fresh Dye Ink Bundles. There are two new Fresh Dye Ink collections – Red Sunset and Sweet Dreams, and I am using both today.
Tag Project using Fresh Dye Inks
For today's projects, I wanted to share how you can automatically create a big pop of color by keeping the rest of the project neutral. I am also sharing how to add splatter, without actually splattering!

I started off by stamping the outline of the Golden Days Stamp Set flower onto white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I heat set the ink and then using the Stampwheel to help with placement, I stamped the next layers using Sweet Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Bundle. I love these aqua/teal tones!

Keeping the stamps in place on the Stampwheel, I then stamped another of the flowers using Red Sunset Fresh Dye Ink. That's the great thing with the Stampwheel, you only need to line the layers up once and can stamp multiple times!

For the leaves, I wanted to keep the neutral color palette, so I stamped one of the more solid layers in Obsidian Pigment Ink. I think they go nicely with the pop of color in the flowers.
The flowers and leaves were then die cut using the Golden Days Die Set. Whilst die cutting, I also die cut four tags from the Terrific Tags Die Set using Classic Crest 110lb Solar White Cardstock. They adhered back-to-back for added stability, to create two tags.
Controlled Splatter

I really like the look of splatter on projects but being a clean and simple crafter, I am not always happy with the fact that I cannot control where the splatters end up.
To solve this, I am using a stamp to stamp my splatters instead! I took the splatter stamps from the Inky Lily Stamp Set and stamped them onto the tags using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I love how these add just a little extra touch to the design but without the mess!
Finishing the Tags

To bring the tags together, I adhered the leaves to the tags with Glue Tape first and then adhered the flowers on top with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
I stamped a sentiment from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Obsidian Pigment Ink. They were cut out and adhered to the tags with more foam tape. To finish off, I added twine through the top of the tags and tied it in a bow.
I hope I have inspired you to not only try the new Fresh Dye Inks but if you are a little scared of splatter like me, to try controlling it, too! You can watch the full process video below or on YouTube.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!
