These Brushed Metallic papers come in four different shades and feature a unique brushed shine, creating a sort of matte finish while still having a lustrous, luxurious metallic shine. These metallic cardstock papers add incredible luxuriousness to your projects, and I have three different projects showcasing them in three unique ways to help show you the versatility of these papers! Let's get started with the details!

3 Project Ideas with Brushed Metallic Cardstock
I have used all four shades of Metallic Papers on my projects today: Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, Brushed Copper, and (my favorite) Brushed Rose. I think metallics and holiday projects are a perfect match, so I used them as the focal points for 2 holiday cards and a tag. The beautiful, smooth texture of the metallic cardstock adds such beautiful luxury to these holiday projects.

The Brushed Metallic papers die cut so beautifully! I created this super elegant tag using the detailed Lovely Ornaments dies, cutting the base layer from Brushed Gold and the detail layer from Brushed Silver. I adhered the pieces with some small dots of liquid glue so that it wouldn't squish out the sides and mar the beautiful matte metallic finish. I created a dimensional die-cut sentiment by layering a glittery gold “joy” cut with the Merry Christmas dies using two layers of white cardstock and one layer of gold glitter cardstock from the Gilded paper pack. A quick twine loop made this a super quick, ultra-luxurious tag to adorn your holiday gifts!

We know that the Brushed Metallic papers die cut beautifully, but did you know that they also emboss beautifully with the many stunning 3D Embossing Folders carried by Altenew? I created this unique holiday card by running an A2-sized Brushed Copper metallic paper through my die-cutting machine using the Layered Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. The detail that the folders pick up with the metallic cardstock is just incredible. I added a “Believe” greeting cut from some more Gilded glitter cardstock with the Holiday Script Words Die, as well as some coordinating glittery snowflakes cut using the Layered Snowflakes 2 Dies. A few coordinating metallic pearls added one last textural element and even more luxury.

This last project features my favorite discovery while playing with the Brushed Metallic papers. I've been loving playing with hot foiling on different textures lately, and the Brushed Metallic papers hot foil so beautifully! The smooth surface of the metallic papers picks up the detail on the hot foil plates perfectly. I recommend using shiny foils to add contrast to the brushed matte metallic finish of the Brushed Metallic papers. I hot foiled the Flower Wreath Hot Foil Plate onto an A2 panel of Brushed Rose cardstock using some deep chocolate brown foil. The contrast between the two metallic colors is beautiful, and the metallic cardstock picked up the detail from the hot foil plate perfectly!

After I finished hot foiling, I die cut the Fancy Peace die from some Dark Chocolate cardstock three times and adhered them together to create a dimensional die cut. I also heat-embossed some sentiment strips from Winter Typography using Golden Peach embossing powder. I adhered the sentiment pieces to the card front. I added some glittery metallic gems to the card front for one last element of luxurious sparkle! The hot foiled image on the metallic cardstock is so unique and beautiful; I can't wait to try it out with other hot foil plates!
Well, that's all for my projects today! If you haven't taken a look at the Brushed Metallic cardstock papers yet, I highly encourage you to do so. They create stunning accents on your projects, but they also work so beautifully as main focal elements to create luxurious cards and tags.
1 Product, Multiple Ways!
Before you go, here are a few crafting ideas featuring this metallic cardstock bundle.
Make those holiday projects shine and shimmer! Virginia used the Silver Metallic Cardstock to add a layer of shiny snowflakes to her card.
Nathalie needed to add some shine and sparkle to her embossed pine trees, so she used the gold metallic cardstock to die cut her sentiment. What a fab idea!
Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock + 3D Embossing Folder = match made in heaven!
You can also use these metallic papers for that subtle hint of gold (or silver) on any paper crafting project.
Use it to add some pizzazz to your fave dies! Nathalie used the super cool Tessellation Puzzles Die Set with the Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock for her scrapbook journal.
