Creativity Inspired | Altenew’s First Ever Poetry Contest | $500 in Prizes!

Calling all artists, crafters, and writers! We want to hear from you! At Altenew, we value creativity and artistic expression. For the past 6 years, you have inspired us with your stunning cards, scrapbook layouts, and other crafting projects. 

This year, we are hosting our first ever poetry contest to inspire you to demonstrate your creativity in the written form. Whether you have been writing poetry for years or have never written a poem in your life, you are welcome to enter. We want to hear you speak from the heart!

Contest Details

First of all, what is our contest about? Check out the following guidelines to see what you have to do.

• Prompt: Write a poem inspired by one of your favorite Altenew products or product categories.  
• Relate personal anecdotes, treasured memories, passionate thoughts, or anything that represents the meaning of your chosen item in your life. 
• All types of poetry are allowed. Be creative! You can be humorous, serious, sentimental, or somewhere in between. It’s all up to you. Please refrain from using foul language or explicit content in your poem. Your poem must be in English.
• Each entrant is allowed only one poem, so make that poem count!
• Maximum poem length: 1 page 
• Deadline: All submissions are due by April 12, 2020 at 11:59pm EST. Winners will be announced on 4/28/2020.

Eligibility

Wondering if you are eligible to enter this poetry contest? Don't worry! As you long as you can write about your favorite Altenew product, you are welcome to participate!

• Entering the contest is completely FREE. 
• Open to entrants from all around the world. We want to hear from ALL of you!
• All ages welcome.

Now for the part that you’ve been waiting for. You can't have a poetry contest without prizes!

• • The top 13 favorite picks will be featured on the Altenew blog on 4/28/2020.
  • Monetary prizes will be distributed as follows:
    • 1st Place: $150 Altenew Gift Card
    • 2nd Place: $100 Altenew Gift Card
    • 3rd Place: $50 Altenew Gift Card
    • 10 Honorable Mentions: $20 Altenew Gift Card
