Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. Today's post is all about Altenew's way of “Crafting Your Life”. I am sharing how I used the Book Club Stamp & Die Set creatively with the wedding program. Yes, wedding bells you hear! My daughter Stephanie enlisted my help to decorate her wedding program many months ago.
We looked into gate-fold style designs and although there were many options, they seem to be too “fussy” for the wedding couple's clean and simple style. When I presented Stephanie a selection of Altenew stamps and dies, the Book Club Stamp & Die was clearly the winner!
This set allows the wedding attendees to open and close the program without any strings attached. What's even better is, this design showcases Stephanie and Greg's wedding logo prominently. He plays the guitar and she plays the cello. Based on that, the couple designed their logo to celebrate this beautiful union.
Once the design was tested, we set out to emboss and die cut all 120 of them. It seemed daunting at first, but once we set up each station for various tasks, the wedding program enclosures were all done in less than 24 hours! The “Rose Gold Embossing Powder” provides just the perfect rich gold color and textures!
With the Book Club Die glued on the right side, this is how the wedding program with the insert looks when opened. Of course, I ended up having 120 circle dies left with this wedding project! I decided to challenge myself to use up some of the circles and came up with 4 thank you cards.
I inked up the circles with Misty Morning 6 Mini Ink Cube Set. The Altenew ink cubes BLEND so beautifully together. The dotted image from Dot Art Stamp Set has just the right touches!
Here is another version with Ballet Slippers 6 Mini Ink Set. When I stamped the image, I chose the darkest ink in the set (Galactic Stream and Grapevine) to make the image stand out. Stamping is easier with a stamping positioner such as MISTI.
It is even more apparent that with a special occasion like this, crafting holds a very special place in my life. It gives me joy, comfort and helps me celebrate the huge milestones in my family's life.
By the way, the wedding was yesterday! The ceremony and dinner all went smoothly and it was a BEAUTIFUL day with a fine weather. Needless to say, everyone loved the wedding program. I want to thank Altenew, especially Jennifer Rzasa, who designed the incredible Book Club Stamp Set.
“Craft Your Life” is not just a statement, it's the truth! I now am recovering from the festivities from yesterday. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Virginia, these are stunning! Just because something is clean and simple doesn’t mean it can’t be elegant and beautiful!
So true! Thank you, Cheryl!
What a stupendous creative logo that Stephanie and Greg created. A big lol about 120 circles. You sure did put them to use make a nice looking card.
The wedding programs are so beautiful. I don’t think you could have ever found anything that would have been more perfect. The logo fit in like it was made for the space and the best part is you helped your daughter and son-in-law to make such an elegant program for their special day. Like the cards you made with the diecuts. I am sure you will be getting more creative to use up the rest!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to come up with the idea!

Thank you for your well wishes, Betty!
Virginia, I can only imagine how proud you must be of your lovely daughter! The design integrating both the cello (one of my favourite instruments) & the guitar is elegant as is the bookmark stamp done in the antique gold. It is just so wonderful that you all came together to create these beautiful programs. Also, your daughter must be so grateful & proud of you for designing the thank you cards. That was a great way to use those left over circle dies. CAS design all the way! I hope you & your husband have time to put your feet up & bask in the memories of a beautiful wedding weekend. Blessings to you dear lady & proud mama.
Thank you so much for your super kind and thoughtful comment, Teri!! xo
