Hello friends! This is Virginia here. The recent release of the new Gradient Cardstock was such a welcomed one. They were so popular that it was no surprise they were nearly sold out on the day of the release! They are awesome for creating with dies, especially the layering floral dies. I am sharing more creative ways to use the Gradient Cardstock and hopefully, my two projects will spark your creativity in using this colorful cardstock.
My first card is a play on color-blocking. You often see color-blocking in fashion, ads, and all kinds of designs. It is fun, easy, and impactful.
I took out the cardstock from Summer Afternoon, Cheery Blossom and Shades of Purple and started playing.
This resulted in a very colorful and striking background. I adhered a butterfly from Mix & Match Mariposa Die Set. To highlight the white, I white heat-embossed the sentiment from “Fancy Greetings”. This card is sweet and eye-catching, right?
My 2nd card looks more intricate and detailed. I started out with small strips of cardstock from Summer Afternoon, Cheery Blossom and Shades of Purple. I glued them to a piece of copy paper and then ran them through my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine with Crystal Frames Die Set.
I then made another die-cut with white cardstock and carefully placed the white intricate frame over the colorful one. The Fancy Thanks Die truly makes this card “sing”!
I added stenciled details with Floral Garden Stencil and Antique Silver Metallic Spray Mist. For the final embellishments, I added sequins and strings.
The Gradient Cardstock is compatible no matter how you use them. How cool is that!? I hope you give these ideas a try! Thank you for stopping by!
