Hi, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. I don't know about you, but I am quite fond of the nesting dies. In fact, I am obsessed with them. They are your basic shape dies and you can always reach out for them if you are ever stuck on ideas. In today's post, I am sharing more creative and innovative ways to use these dies, such as the Nesting Frames Dies.
My first card shows a rather clean and simple way of using the 6-piece Nesting Frames Dies. By placing the 2nd and 3rd largest dies over the Gold Foil Cardstock, you can easily create a “frame”.
For the flower elements, I used Altenew Artist Markers Refills (yellow, peach, coral, and pink) to create my own alcohol-inked paper. After white-embossing Fabulous Florets Stamp & Die Bundle, I assembled the flowers around the frame.
Within the frame, I added some green splatters (Frayed Leaf Ink Spray) with the help of Feeling Dotty Stencil.
For the extra pops of colors, I took out the Green Fields Enamel Dots and that completes the card.
My next card has a wider frame. First, I applied the Wild Flora Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock. I took out the largest and 3 largest dies and made the die-cut.
I then stamped the leafy background with Build-a-Flower Torch Ginger and placed the stamped flower over the large frame. The sentiment was then stamped in Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink.
I love the bold prints of Wild Flora Washi Tape. The best thing is it was so quick and easy to create a frame!
I strongly encourage you to get any of your nesting dies out and start to think outside the “frame”! Thank you for stopping by!

I love nesting dies, too! Both cards are lovely, but I’ve never tried the layering technique of the second one. I really like that and will be trying it today!
