Hi there everyone! I have a Stamp Focus post for you today and the stamp in focus is the Beautiful Peony Stamp Set.
Card 1
To start, I heat embossed several flowers and leaves from the Beautiful Peony Stamp Set onto watercolor cardstock with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Next, I scribbled Persian Blue Watercolor Brush Marker onto the image and then spritz it heavily with water. Likewise, for the leaves, I used Black Watercolor Brush Marker. You can let these air dry or use a heat gun to dry them – it's your choice. Because the watercolor marker scribbling plus water spritzing is different for each die-cut piece, as a result, we get unique watercolor shading on all the elements.
After I was done coloring all the images, I set them aside to dry and began working on the card front. For the card front, I used Morning Frost Crisp Dye Ink to do a bit of ink blending. Then I adhered this inked panel onto a card base. After this, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and then adhered all the images onto the card front with foam tape.
For my sentiments, I die cut the word “Hey” out of Caps Bold Alphabet Die Set in Gold Foil. I stacked this a couple of times and then adhered the letters to the card front with the help of Glue Tape. To finish, I added a heat embossed sentiment label that says “gorgeous”.
Card 2
Similarly, for the last two cards, I heat embossed the images, but this time I used Pure White Embossing Powder. To make my second card, I scribbled Rubellite Watercolor Brush Marker in the center of the flower and Midnight Violet Watercolor Brush Marker around it. For the leaves, I used Citrus Burst and Emerald Watercolor Brush Markers. Again, I spritz the images and let them air dry.
To begin with, I ran the card front through my die-cutting machine along with the Square Weave Stencil to emboss the pattern onto the panel. And then I cut a band of cardstock, the width of my card front, and placed my die-cut images to see where the sentiment would fit. Once the sentiment was in place, I adhered the flower with foam tape and glued the leaves directly. I applied foam tape to the band and adhered it to the card front. To finish, I added a few black enamel dots from Green Fields Enamel Dots Set.
Card 3
For the last card, I used Ruby Red Watercolor Brush Marker to color the center of the flower and Rouge Watercolor Brush Marker to color around it. After the flowers and leaves were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them.
Next, I added fine black paint splatters from the Watercolor 36 Pan Set onto my card front and then adhered my floral images with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment in Pure White Embossing Powder on black. To finish, I adhered a few enamel dots from the Green Fields Enamel Dots Set.

Spectacular cards!! They all look so different!!

Hi Erum, Your cards are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your process. I love the idea of coloring the embossed images and then die cutting them to place on the card panel. Stamping directly onto the card front doesn’t always work for me as far as getting the placement right! Having the die cuts will let me move things around until I’m pleased with the placement. Thanks for the great idea!
Gorgeous cards Erum !!
