Hello, and welcome to the Altenew Educators “Favorite Old/New Altenew Stamp” Blog Hop and Linky Party! Thank you for joining us and supporting our massively talented Certified Educators. We currently have 40 Certified Educators and we are SO proud of them. Each of them brings to the table their individual talent and ideas and we are very lucky to have them.
There is so much to learn from them! Don't take my word for it; just read what people who have taken their workshops or classes had to say about them:
This is a great class. I've learned something in every lesson. Would never have thought to use the stencils as silhouettes. -Karen W. on Nicole Watt's class.
I'd just like to say that it was a brilliant afternoon; I loved it. Lockdown has been tough and crafting is my savior so it was lovely to craft with other people and have a fun afternoon. Thanks, Natasha, you smashed it and I can't wait for the next one! -Anonymous (through a questionnaire) on Tasha Davies workshop.
This class is teaching me things I hoped to know but didn’t think were possible without an expensive and extensive class! -Laura C. on Jaycee Gaspar's class.
Sande Woodson did a great job on her workshop! She was super organized and showed us how to do several things with just one creativity kit. She gave lots of great suggestions along the way and encouraged us to do our own thing, whether it be with different colors or sentiments or whatever. She’s a great teacher and full of enthusiasm. I look forward to more from her. -Penny P. on Sande Woodson's workshop.
If you want to sign up for the Altenew Educators Certification Program (AECP), you can fill out the form HERE. For more information regarding the program, please click HERE.
AECP consists of three levels with 25 courses from the Altenew Academy ranging from beginner level to advanced. One has to pass a final challenge in order to move on to the next level. The final challenge of Level 3 is a mock workshop, be it a physical workshop or a virtual one. We help them conduct this in a way to prepare them should they choose to host their own independent workshops in the future.
Here is a look at some of the projects that the Educators created for this hop.
Project Inspiration
My recent favorite Altenew stamp is the Fairy Tale Florals Stamp Set and I love using the coloring stencils. Therefore, I combined both on this card and used my trademark dripping watercolor background.
Stamp the image on Classic Crest Solar White in Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then, heat emboss it in Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder. Use Aqualicious and Ultramarine Crisp Dye Inks and the Small Blending Tools to add ink through the coloring stencils. For the leaves, use Parrot Crisp Dye Ink. When done, use the coordinating die to die cut the image.
On A2 Watercolor Cardstock, apply pigment from Jet Black Watercolor Brush Marker and activate it with water. Please watch the video on how I color the panel. Once the panel was colored, I added fine black paint splatters and then tons of white paint splatters. Next, I stamped the sentiment and then adhered the image with foam tape. I also altered my image a bit to make it fit properly.
