Well hello there, everyone! Erum here with two cards to share. I actually planned to make only one but as you know by now, I don't plan my cards and often mess up. Sometimes, the mistakes are fixable. This time, well… watch the video to find out!
Today, I am using some newly released Altenew products, namely Nature Blossoms, Checkerboard, and Mega Label Love Stamp Sets. I will pair these with the Terrific Tags Die Set.
To begin, I inked the Checkerboard Stamp Set partially with Obsidian Pigment Ink and stamped my panel. Next, I die cut one of the tags and colored it in blue and green using the Artists' Watercolors.
Then, I stamped the Nature Blossoms images onto plain cardstock in Obsidian Pigment Ink and adhered them with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Mega Label Love Stamp Set.
The images on the next card were originally intended for the card above, but they didn't look good. Hence, I used plain stamped ones on the previous one instead.
To color the images, I used a black Prismacolor pencil and a blending stump.
In order to keep the focus on the florals, I kept the card super simple and just added black paint splatters to the background.
You can watch the video below or on YouTube in HD.
Here is a look at both the cards together. You can say one looks a bit feminine and the other would work for the men in our lives, right?
Thank you for stopping by, everyone! See you next time in the next round of Creative Coloring with Erum!

Erum, do you think we are heading to a mixed media, grunge/collage style?
That is my jam, Pam :)
They’re both Gorgeous!!!
Thank you!
Love, love both cards! Thanks for sharing your pencil coloring technique.
Glad you liked them!
Beautiful! So So pretty!
Thank you!
Good idea!
Great cards. I think the one with the tag would make an excellent masculine card. Love the grays you got by using the blending stump with the black pencil. Elegant card!
I love your work, Erum! I also appreciate seeing your creative thinking process. You may not have intended it from the beginning, but you ended up with 2 incredibly beautiful cards. Thanks for sharing your artistic and creative thoughts as you designed these cards. So helpful to watch an individual’s creative designs evolve! Gorgeous results!
