Hello! Erum here today with three gorgeous cards! I will be using the Courageous You Stamp Set today.
It has been a while since I have picked up my color pencils! I had so much fun coloring this image.
First, I stamped the image in Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I used multiple shades of pinks, peach, and light oranges to color my flowers. For the leaves, I picked out muted green tones. You will notice that I followed the same color scheme for all three cards.
After stamping the sentiment, to finish, I added a few black paint splatters.
For my second card, I used the loose A2 Watercolor Cardstock and heat embossed the image partially in Rose Gold Embossing Powder. Next, I used the Watercolor Brush Markers in Sunkissed, Rouge, Moss, Lime, Evening Gray, and Espresso to color the panel.
To add more shine to the panel, I also added gold paint splatters from the Metallic Watercolor Set. Also, I added quite a few fine black paint splatters to balance my sentiment tab. To finish, I adhered a few Antique Gold Sequins.
I have a video for the following card and it is so easy to recreate this! When you are in a hurry and you want to create a watercolor card, though I have shared SO MANY such videos, this one tops them all. Why? It is because we start by heat embossing the image on colored cardstock. So you have your base layer already colored. This is called the “lazy man's watercolor version”.
I start by heat embossing with Pure White Embossing Powder on Gradient Cardstock taken from the Cherry Blossom, Warm Sunshine, and Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock Set. Then, I added watercolor from the Artists' Watercolor Set as stippling.
You will have to watch the video to see how I do it. It is so easy, you guys! Before adhering the images, I added splatters of Rock Collection Watercolor on to the background.
You can watch the process video below or on YouTube in HD.
Here is a look at the three cards again. I hope you liked them and I hope you are itching to color the Courageous You Stamp in your own unique way!
See you soon! Thank you for stopping by!
