Hello! Erum here today with a card featuring the Peony Spray Stamp Set and Metallic Watercolors.
To begin, I heat embossed the Peony Spray stamp onto watercolor paper in Pure White Embossing Powder. Then, I covered the image with water and began to add the watercolor pigment to it by dropping in color. The shades I used are Aquamarine, Topaz, and Amethyst.
For the flower, I used Aquamarine Metallic Watercolor mainly and mixed the Topaz and Amethyst together to make a blue-violet color. For the leaves, I used mainly purple and blues (Amethyst and Topaz). Also, to balance the top portion and bottom of the image, I added a bit of Aquamarine pigment to the leaves too.
Once dry, I die cut the image and set it aside.
Next, I used a loose Watercolor Paper Sheet and applied a lot of water to it. Then, I proceeded to add Persian Blue Watercolor Brush Marker pigment directly onto the left-hand side of the panel. I also mixed a bit of Desert Night Watercolor Brush Marker pigment to this to match the shade of the flower.
While the background was still wet, I added splatters of Aquamarine Metallic Watercolor. Adding this watercolor to the wet panel makes it bloom and the result is very interesting. Set it aside to dry or heat set it.
Next, I added a lot of fine black paint splatters from the 36 Pan Watercolor Set. Then, I adhered my image and the sentiment strip with foam tape.
