You will find some of these Educators also teaching at our virtual Craft Your Life Retreat and a few of them hosting workshops every now and then.
Fun stat: We now have 48 Certified Educators!
E for Embossing
So, for our projects, we were supposed to use the first initial of our name and use a technique or style to start with that letter. My name is Erum so I picked the easiest one: embossing! Though I wanted to share a mixed media card with tons of embossing, and then I had the urge to watercolor using the Altenew Pigment Inks. And that is exactly what I did!
My card features the newly released Build-A-Flower: Laelia Layering Stamp Set. To start, stamp the floral image onto A2 Watercolor Cardstock in Embossing Ink. Pour Golden Peach Crisp Embossing Powder on it and heat set it. Next, on the Watercolor Palette, smoosh a bit of Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, and Grapevine Pigment Inks.
First, apply water to the petal, and then add color starting from the lightest color ink which is Frosty Pink. Once all the petals have a light pink color base, add a bit of shading by using diluted Coral Berry Pigment Ink. Then use the heat gun to set it. Altenew Pigment Inks become permanent when they are heat set. Next, apply Coral Berry Pigment Ink; make sure it is a little diluted as it's quite vibrant. Blend this out smoothly towards the edge. Add a smidge of Grapevine Pigment Ink to show more depth.
For the leaves, use the Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen Mixed Media Inks. And color the leaves in the same manner, starting from light to dark.
On A2 Watercolor Cardstock, apply water with a round brush. Then start by applying Arctic Pigment Ink. This is very light so to this add the Caribbean Sky and then the Persian Blue Pigment Inks. In the end, add a bit of Sapphire Pigment Ink and add it to the very top edge and a bit on the left edge. While still wet, add splatters of Sapphire Pigment Ink diluted with water. Then heat set this panel and add more concentrated splatters of Sapphire Pigment Ink.
Next, adhere the floral image with foam tape and stamp the sentiment in Obsidian Pigment Ink.

What a great way to use the first letter of your name, and embossing is one of my favorite techniques. Mine is A, so would I get away with adhering? LOL.
