Look How I Copied This Washi Tape!

Hey you! I hope you are doing great. I have an odd number to share with you today. My card features the 3D Embossing Folder from the Hello Beautiful Craft Your Life Project Kit.

Start by embossing a panel using the Hello Beautiful 3D Embossing Folder. I am using a cream-colored cardstock to match the Botanical Rhapsody Wide Washi Tape. Next, use one of the pens from the Fine Liner Pen Set to draw lines alongside the grooves and ridges already on the design. You can add additional sketchy lines if you want to.

For the flower centers and the leaves, tilt the brush pen from the Fine Liner Pen Set and at an angle color over the flower centers and some portions of the leaves. Be careful while doing this, as any area that is raised (embossed) will get the black ink if you go over it with the brush pen.

The next step is to add pencil shading using the Jet Black pencil from the Woodless Watercolor Pencils. This doesn't have to be done perfectly. And try not to cover the entire flower with shading, leaving a bit of white area.

Once done, use a wet paintbrush and activate the pigment. This requires very minimal water, and I did use little water, as I wasn't using watercolor cardstock. Again, be sure not to spread the pigment but just to activate it and pull it outwards. We are not coloring the flowers but just adding a bit of shading.

Next, apply a bit of diluted watercolor to create a shadow outside the outline of the images. Once this dries, add diluted splatters of Jet Black pigment and then some more concentrated ones.

For the sentiment, stamp “miss you” from the Fresh Bloom Stamp Set in Obsidian Pigment Ink and adhere the strip along the width of the card with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
