Nothing better than a pop of color and the beautiful design of the new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Meadow Breeze to bring my stories to life. Let's take a closer look.
Dashboard #1 – 6×8 ‘Heat Embossed' Layout
I want to start my family journal with color and shine in a clean and simple way, thus the idea of creating colorful dashboards as title pages. The first one belongs to my Family Journal (6×8 size) format.
To start, I am using the new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Meadow Breeze stamp set to heat emboss the image with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.
Here is where creating colorful dashboards comes into action — let's add color!
My choice is shades of violet, fuchsia, purple and blue to color the images. The stencil in the kit makes it so easy to bring the images to life easily. A few extra drops of shine complement the colors (Cosmic Berry Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray and Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray).
The movement in the heat-embossed images creates the perfect placement for the title of the journal.
A touch of shimmer (Metallic Brushed Gold Cardstock) in the die-cuts (Bold Numerals Die Set, Bold Alphabet Die Set) completes the colorful look of the page.
Dashboard #2 – Traveler's Notebook ‘Embossed' Layout
Another idea for creating colorful dashboards with the new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Meadow Breeze uses the beautiful 3D Embossing folder to bring color and texture to the page
I am using a similar formula for this dashboard but with a smaller twist. First of all, this is a smaller format. Therefore, my choice was to bring extra color by the means of stamping in the background.
I am using shades of teal and the kit's stamp to add a few details to the top and bottom of the page. Then, I am once again adding a bit of shimmer in gold ink to the page.
This time, the choice of cardstock is softer for the title (Brushed Rose Gold Metallic Cardstock), as it creates a nice contrast with the colors and texture in the embossed floral bundle.
The stencil set in the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Meadow Breeze fits perfectly over the embossed image, which makes it so easy to bring that pop of wow when creating colorful dashboards.

Stamp the silhouette image in a very light neutral color. Then, add various colors to the elements using pencils or artist markers and watch them come to life!
