Hello there! This is Virginia.Today's post is about how to stretch your precious Altnew Ink. I don't know about you, but I am LOVING the Frosted Garden Stamp Set from our December release. This set comes with a mix of solid and detailed outline stamps. The floral images allow you to try all sort of techniques. If you love the watercolor look, but you feel that you are not equipped with proper watercolor supplies… Well, fear not, try Altenew Ink with water!
First, I stamped the images on a piece of Bristol paper. I like to mix the different colors and shades in the flowers. This can be achieved easily with the help of a stamp positioner. However, with practice, you can still line up the images. For the flower petals, I stamped with the ink from Cherry Blossom and Red Cosmo ; Pocketful of Sunshine and Warm & Cozy.
This shine from the embossing powder left a shine and gloss over the images. This extra step helped creating a barrier for my water-coloring. I took out a wet paint brush and carefully color the background with Rock Collection.
Who knew that you can easily create a piece of ” watercolor art” with stamped images? I hope that you are inspired to try using Altenew Ink for watercoloring. All you need is a clear Acrylic Block set and some ink with droplet of water! Now go and create something beautiful. Thank you for stopping by!
