Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today Ill be sharing how you can create an enamel look brooch using dies to add as a gift to your cards.
I started by cutting all of the dies from Craft-A-Flower Cistus Die Set from colored cardstock. For the flowers I used Red Sunset Gradient Cardstock and Coffee Break Gradient Cardstock for the leaves. Once the were cut I adhered them together using wet glue. I also cut an extra base for the leaves and flower that I would be using for the brooch. I cut parts from the layered leaves using the flower die so when I adhered them to the extra bases everything was mice and flat.
To create the enamel effect I added embossing ink to the layered die cut and heat set with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. I did this around 5 times to get a super shiny look. Then to create the brooch. I cut another base for the flower this time using felt. This was added to the back of the embossed layered die cut using felt glue. I then added a brooch back into place and added a little piece of felt over the back to secure it.
To add the brooch to the card I cut a strip of Moonrock Cardstock and added it into place on the card base. I added a little slit through the front of the card so I could slip the brooch down the strip of cardstock and then popped the strip through the slit to keep it int place.
Once the brooch was in place I added the other flowers into place on the card base and added a sentiment from Fancy Greetings Stamp Set.
