Hello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing how you can create a DIY Simple Coloring Stencil using layered dies.First, I started by cutting all of the dies from Craft-A-Flower: Tulip Layering Die Set from acetate. I kept the positive parts for masks while the negative became my stencil. Once I had the stencil, I could then use this to create a layered ink blended image. I lined the stencil into place onto a 4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of white cardstock and inked through using an ink blending tool.
For the flowers, I used Canyon Clay, Burnt Red, and Mahogany Bark Crisp Dye Inks and Marshland and Sea Forest Crisp Dye Inks for the leaves and stems. When these were done, I used the DIY masks to cover the flowers and inked in a sky using Icy Water, Winter Lake, and Arctic Mountain Crisp Dye Inks.
For a little interest, I added Delicate Stripes Washi Tape to my card base. The sentiment is from Circled Sentiments Stamp Set.
To see how my card came together, please watch the video below. Or head over on YouTube:
Thanks so much for stopping by!

WOW! Wish I’d thought of that, making your own stencils and masks with products you have one hand. Certainly gives a whole different look that cutting out with the dies. Love this idea. Thank you.
