It’s Time for a NEW Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Layering Die Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

by Lydia Evans

Blog HopHello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing an ink blending technique with the new Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Layering Die Set.

This month, we are bringing you another set from our brand-new category of paper crafting products Craft-A-Flower Die Sets!

Our Craft-A-Flower die sets are released monthly and celebrate the beauty of a wide variety of flowers! Each set includes all the pieces you need to create a multi-layered floral arrangement, inspired by our popular 3D flower dies. All you need is colored cardstock and a die-cutting machine. We can’t wait to see what you create!

This month’s featured set is the lovely Craft-A-Flower: Daisy!

I had lots of fun creating this floral card using these new dies. Continue reading to see the full card making process!

20200728 112917 1I started by cutting all of the pieces from Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Layering Die Set from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. That way I didn't have to worry about having matching colored cardstock for my pieces, and I could have any color I wanted using inks to ink blend. I used Parrot, Olive, and Moss Crisp Dye Inks for the leaf layers and Pumpkin Pie and Yellow Ochre Crisp Dye Inks for the flower centers. For the flower layers, I used Baby Pink Crisp Dye Ink around the edges and Amethyst Crisp Dye Ink for the center. Once all of the pieces were colored, I adhered them together using glue tape.

20200728 112924 1To finish the card, I used a strip of patterned cardstock from Essentials Black & White 6×6 Paper Pack and a sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set.

Absolutely brilliant cards! I LOVE DAISIES! And, as always, Laurie Willison has such inspirational, creative ideas and genius. I love how she used the negative space of the daisy to show through on her first card and focus on one color. A very unique idea that has a powerful effect. I just love this daisy Stamp and Die. It is definitely on my must have list. Thank you for the ideas and insight!
