Erum here with two cards to share today that compliment each other. I will be using Build-A-Flower Poinsettia and Parrot Paradise Stamp Sets mainly. In addition to these, I will be using sentiments from Just Because and Best Buds Stamp Set.
Actually, I first made the one layer card on the left only but it seemed so lonely in photos that I decided to use the same stamps to make something along the same lines but a tad different.
It's an odd combination of stamps. Therefore, by changing the colour of the Poinsettia I have turned this into a summery/tropical card duo.
First, let's start with my one layer card. As you can see, I did a whole lot of masking. I first stamped the two flowers and then proceeded to stamp the leaves. Incidentally, I had leaf masks leftover from the time I made THIS card which made my work easier.
The Parrot Paradise is one of my favourite stamp sets, I just LOVE the leaves in this set. The parrot is gorgeous too but I didn't need it for these cards. I stamped two of the leaves repeatedly, using masks to make my foliage backdrop.
Next, I watercoloured my panel. I stamped the sentiment from Just Because Stamp Set with Permanent Black Crisp Ink after it was dry.
For this card, I followed a similar trick to layer my Poinsettia as I did HERE. I stamped the Poinsettia twice, I use one whole stamped image and cut the petals of the other. The photo below, that I took while crafting, will explain it much better.
See, how easy it is and adds SO much dimension too. Next I stamped and fussy cut the leaves. I then did a light colour wash of blues and greens to make my subtle background. Stamped my sentiment from the Best Buds Stamp Set and added a few black splatters. I then placed my floral arrangement using foam tape.
In the end, to finish off my cards, I added a few sequins and I was done.
I hope you liked my cards and that my post inspired you to combine sets that usually don't go together.
That is all for today. Have an amazing day and be kind.

These are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!! The colors are amazing and, to me, it looks very Christmasy – like looking at the Christmas tree branches with colored lights reflecting off the white poinsettias. WOW
