Hi there!
Svitlana is here today sharing a colorful card using a stamp set from the recent release – Faithful Feather Stamp Set.
This set has one feather, although there are several stamps for different parts of it. But what is great about this set is the fact that all parts can be used both combined together and on their own (except the shaft stamp probably).
So for my card I played with different combinations of the feather part. This then created lots of different looks. I also made each feather of different color, using a when lot of Altenew dye inks.
To start off I cut a panel out of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Firstly I stamped top and bottom feathers using Emerald, Lagoon, Mountain (top) and Ruby Red, Cotton Candy (bottom) inks.
Next I stamped the two middle ones. Using Firebrick, Autumn Blaze (left) and Deep Iris, Lavender Fields, Midnight Violet (right) inks. Finally I did the side ones with Desert Night, Dusk, Ocean Waves (left) and Warm Sunshine, Mango Smoothie inks. This order of stamping helped me to position them evenly.
As you can see I used different stamps combinations which helped me to create an illusion that those feathers are different.
The sentiment from the same set was stamped using Jet Black ink. Then the panel was foam mounted onto a white card base. Several crystal clear sequins finished off my card.
I hope this card can work as a showcase of ways this set can be used. If you're going for a softer look – you can skip outline and middle (the one with dots) stamps. For more dramatic and defined one definitely use the outline one. Skipping solid bottom stamp and only using the middle one you can get a lighter look (like the orange feather on my card).
