Welcome to Celebrate Love With Cards and Crafts, where we highlight crafty ways to recognize the many faces of love and affection – whether it be for yourself, your family, friends, or the community! Discover endless inspiration and spread love and appreciation this season!

Hello Altenew Friends! It's Reiko here today for our final episode of this year's Celebrate Love With Cards and Crafts series!  Today, I'll be sharing how I use coloring as meditation to help me maintain a peaceful mind and a happy outlook.

Coloring as Meditation and a Method of Peaceful Relaxation

Ever since I was young, I've loved coloring books and enjoyed spending many of my days mindlessly coloring. Now, as an adult, I feel calmer and at peace when I color, often doing it without a care in the world.

Just using coloring as meditation, focusing on it, and simply enjoying the experience, is the key point here.

You don't need to be always “productive” or create something special every time. Just creating something, as long as it inspires you, is enough.

As a scrapbooker and Altenew fan, I'm glad that I don't need to go looking for coloring books from bookstores and local shops anymore. I have several beautiful floral outline stamps and paper sets that I ordered online from the Altenew Shop.

Today, let's use them to make our own coloring pages!

For this project, I chose the Permanent Black Pigment Ink to stamp floral images from the Build-A-Garden: Blooming Delight Stamp Set.

I love coloring with Fresh Dye Inks, so for this one, I dusted off some of the Fresh Dye Inks from my stash!

Using the Watercolor Tin Case, I pushed inks onto the pallet and added water.

However, if you are too busy to make coloring sheets from outline stamps, the Color-By-Number Instant Artist – Blossoming Florals is the best alternative!

And that's it — these are just some of the ways that I use coloring as meditation and a method to invite some peace into my day. Hope you guys are taking care of yourselves in some way or another, too!

It’s the season of love, so let’s spread the warm fuzzy feels! What inspiring message would you give yourself? Let us know in the comments below.
