Welcome to Creativity Unlocked, where we highlight a new product from each month's collection or a fan favorite from past collections!
Hi there! It's Nathalie DeSousa with you today, with a new idea for a clean and simple memory-keeping layout featuring Mini Delight: Tea Rose Blossom for a new Creativity Unlocked episode.
Mini Delight Tea Rose Blossom Stamp and Die Set
This beautiful 3-layer 3″ x 4″ hybrid tea rose stamp set delivers stunning depth & detail. Tight inner petals blossom outwards, radiating their full splendor. The set includes 3 sentiments & debossed leaf dies. There are 6 stamps in this set.
I love the modern yet classic look of this stamp set and the contrasting look of the stamp blossom and die-cut leaves. This new Mini Delight set is just perfect for any crafting project, but especially for a feminine memory-keeping spread. Let's take a look at the spread!
Clean and Simple Memory-Keeping with the Mini Delight Tea Rose Blossom Set
I just love the color combination of the Mini Delight Tea Rose Blossoms and how they weave in between the pictures. This simple and clean memory-keeping layout follows three main concepts: simple design, negative space, and repetition.
It All Starts With Simplicity
For this layout, the starting point was a contrasting color palette. My choice of Sugarplum Fresh Dye Ink set, and Frosty Pink, Blush, and Dusty Pink Fresh Dye Inks for the blossoms provided color and contrast on the page. I chose this color combination as it is feminine and classic.
Encasing the photos and journaling lines inside Picture Frame dies was a great way to keep the page simple and focused, thus completing the simple look of the spread. The Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock was also a great addition to the page as it added a bit of interest while keeping the focus of the spread on them.
Lots of Negative Space Is Key!
Though the photo portion of this spread is almost fully occupied with photos, the other half of the spread is sparsely used, creating that needed airy space for a clean and simple memory-keeping layout.
I used one of the fold Picture Frames (I backed the empty space with Translucent vellum paper) to house my journaling lines. This will enclose the story and will keep the spread clean and focused. I then used the new Timeless Sentiments Die set and Glitter Cardstock to create a simple title. My choice of a soft color of cardstock made the title visible yet not overly busy.
Repetition, Repetition, Repetition!
As per any design, repetition is key! In my spread, I repeated the Mini Delight Tea Rose Blossom clustering, as well as the Picture Frames to keep the spread cohesive and impactful.
I just love how this clean and simple memory-keeping layout came together swiftly. You can watch the entire process in the video below, or in HD at Altenew's YouTube Channel:
