Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here and today I would like to share a clean and simple card with a beautiful embossed background as a main focus.
3D embossing folders are one of my favorite craft products to use. They are perfect for creating quick and instant backgrounds and adding texture with three-dimensional designs to enhance any project!
For today’s card, I wanted to focus on the beautiful and delicate background pattern created with the Intricate Tiles 3D Embossing Folder, so I combined it with a simple embellishment and sentiment.
How to Create an Embossed Background Card With the Intricate Tiles 3D Embossing Folder
I started by running white cardstock and Intricate Tiles 3D Embossing Folder through my die-cutting machine and cut it to the size of the card base. Next, I used a light application of different inks by using blending brushes to add soft, pastel colors to the embossed background. I used Rocky Shore, Cotton Candy and Deep Iris Crisp Dye Ink. As a final step, I added some black ink splatters for more interest.
When I was happy with my background, I added a lovely sprig of flowers and sentiment from Positive Vibes Stamp Set stamped with Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink. As I mentioned, I wanted to keep it simple and not compete with the background, so I left it uncolored for contrast.
Finally, I glued the floral die cut and sentiment with Instant Dimension Foam Tape to make it pop.
So, what do you think of this fun and easy way to use pastel colors for your intricate backgrounds? Tell me your opinions in the comments below. I hope this post has inspired you to create something beautiful today.
Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you, Karen!
Your embossed background is beautiful. I have done this myself using blending brushes for adding colors to an embossed design.
We’d love to see it!
