Hello, Altenew friends!
It's Virginia here. I am delighted to share two cards with you today. With the same supplies and a slight variation, I created two versions (his and her) with teenagers/young adults in mind. Whether it's for a birthday, graduation, or encouragement purpose, a handmade card (along with a gift card to their favorite shop maybe!?) is just the thing for any special young adults in your life.
First up, it's a card for HER. I started out with Watercolor Dots Stamp Set and created a multicolor background.
Our ink pads from Pocketful of Sunshine, Cherry Blossom, and Deep Blue Sea are my source of inspiration. With a stamp positioner, I inked up a few dots each time. It is even easier if you use the Mini Cube Bundle! To add some shine, I embossed some of the dots with Antique Silver Crisp Embossing Powder.
For embellishments, I hand-stitched parts of the Creative Edges: Lace Die with silver thread. The sentiment “Yay” from Party Time! conveys a sense of happiness and excitement. Totally PERFECT!
Next up, it's the card for HIM! I changed up the color scheme a bit. This time, I added the Tropical Forest Oval Set to the mix. The best thing about creating cards for young adults or teenagers is you can be as CREATIVE and FREE as you want.
I went on the “wild” side and stamped the dots in a slanted angle! I know, right!? I then ran the stamped images through my die cut machine with Creative Edges: Notebook Die.
For good measure, I even added two strips of Watercolor Strokes Washi Tape just to be “edgy”! The sentiment was stamped in Rock Collection Oval Set and then embossed with Antique Silver Crisp Embossing Powder. To add some fun elements, I added Enamel Dots to the circle.
I hope these two versions of his and her card give you some inspiration and make you smile.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a beautiful day!
