Build-A-Flower Rose Card with Stamp Layering Technique

by May Sukyong Park

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 4Hi, crafty friends! It's May here from Mayholic Design. Have you checked out our brand new Build-A-Flower: Rose? With this Build-A-Flower: Rose, anyone can achieve a realistic look as it gives extra depth to the rose image with six layers.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 3To create my own floral arrangement, I combined Build-A-Flower: Rose with another fabulous stamp set: Remember This.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 8 1Here is how I created my card. I started by stamping two roses from Build-A-Flower: Rose with following inks: Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart, Razzleberry, Purple Wine, Grapevine, and Lava Rock.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 7For the green leaves, I used Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Moss, and Evergreen inks. And I used Morning Frost, Evening Gray, Moon Rock, and Lava Rock inks for my gray leaves.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 5To support my flower bouquet, I also added two bud images from the Remember This stamp set. After stamping my images in layers, I die cut them using coordinating dies.

Next, I assembled my die cut images and mounted them on the card front using foam tape to add some dimension. By the way, I made an A2 size top folding card out of Spicy Yogurt cardstock.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 8I stamped my sentiment from the Simple Flowers stamp set with watermark ink on a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed it with Pure White embossing powder. Next, I mounted the sentiment banner on the card front using foam tape.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 6To finish off my card, I added some sparkling clear sequins around my floral arrangement.

Altenew Build A Flower Rose Card May Park 2That's all for today. Hope my card inspired you to create a card with stamp layering technique. Happy crafting!
