Hi friends,
Svitlana is here. Today I'm sharing a floral card using the new Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet, embellished with gold embossing and colored with the layering stencil, and adorned with a shimmering gold watercolor background.
I started making the card by gold embossing the Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet Stamp Set onto a watercolor panel using the Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
After that, I created a shimmering gold watercolor background around the embossed floral image using Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set. Using a round brush, I applied the gold watercolor to the areas around the image, as well as in between the floral elements.
I did this step first as I planned to use dye inks to color the floral image and they could bleed if I did the watercoloring afterward.
Next, I colored the image using the Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet Color Layering Stencil Set, Mini Blending Brushes, and the following dye inks: Sea Breeze, Turquoise, Tide Blue, Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon, and Emerald.
For additional interest and bling, I splattered the panel using the Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray. It played beautifully with the gold embossed image and gold watercolored background.
As an additional touch, I rounded two corners of the panel using a corner punch (long forgotten tool lol).
The sentiment was made by white embossing a stamp from the Build-A-Garden: Rocktrumpet onto a Jet Black Cardstock. I cut it to the sentiment size and popped it up onto the panel.
Which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base using the Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
Lastly, I added several gold sequins to accentuate the card.
