Hello, crafty friends! Sveta is here with a bright winter card made using a stencil and liquid watercolor brush marker refills. This time I decided to use a stencil to create an embossed background. First, I fixed the Diamond Snowflakes Stencil into place with washi tape. Then, with the help of my finger, I applied embossing ink directly from the ink pad by tapping it around the stencil. I chose Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder for these cute tiny snowflake ornaments.
Then I took the Lagoon Liquid Watercolor Brush Marker Refill and Mountain Mist Liquid Watercolor Brush Marker Refill and, using a wide brush, started to make vertical strokes. The first one was only with Lagoon, I added Mountain Mist on the second one, the third one was almost totally just Mountain Mist, and then I repeated the same process, this time in reverse order.
Some strokes got a “dry” look and that's exactly what I wanted to see. This effect reminds me of the Northern Lights. I also used Metallic Silver Liquid Watercolor Brush Marker Refill to add splashes to the background.
For the sentiment, I went with Hello Winter Stamp and Die Bundle and placed it in the center. For both the sentiment and the card base, I chose to use Pale Gray Cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed my bright winter card today! Thanks for dropping by!

I just wanted to let you know how gorgeous this card is! I never would have guessed those bright colors were from watercolors. You have inspired me to try something similar. Thanks for sharing your talent with us!
This is beautiful and a technique I want to try with some Christmas stencils I have. Thanks!
Beautiful cool colours that blend perfectly.
Another great stencil for me to debate on – should I? shouldn’t I? I need it! do I really need it? Love all of your stencils!
Lavender is popular – for a reason!
Love your card!
