Rose Buds Complete Bundle

Do you want to infuse some romance into your projects? This is a bundle of Rose Buds Layering Stencil Set (2 in 1) and coordinating die set. Inspired by romantic garden roses, the Rose Buds Layering Stencil Set can be used to create two beautiful layered roses in no time. Create breathtaking cards by inking both roses at once, and die-cut them with the coordinating die set.

ROSE BUDS FLORAL CARD

I started making the card by creating stenciling roses onto a Solar White Cardstock using the Rose Buds Layering Stencil Set. I made pink and yellow flowers, one of each type and color.

To create yellow rose buds, I used the Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Maple Yellow, and Honey Drizzle Dye Inks. I used the Large Blending Tool as well as the Mini Blending Brushes to color the rose layers.

For pink rose buds, I used Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Bliss, and Ruby Red Dye Inks.

After coloring the buds, I went ahead and die-cut all the flowers using dies from the Rose Buds Die Set. Then, I colored the stems and leaves using the Forest Glades and Evergreen Dye Inks.

Since there is no outline or base shape for these flowers, it was easier to place the stems on the die-cuts (versus doing it before die-cutting).

As far as the whole card color scheme goes, I decided to go with the gray + pink + yellow one. Gray makes any color pop and makes colors look more bright and fresh, if you will.

To make the front panel of my card, I used one of my favorite gray cardstock – Real Gray, which is a very pretty and light gray; it makes the color pop and, at the same time, is not as dramatic and bold as another gray tone can be.

I also added the Pure White Ink Spray splatters onto the panel to bring some interest.

Next, the panel was foam mounted onto a Solar White Cardstock card base using the Instant Dimension Foam Tape. Then, I adhered the rose buds onto the panel in a semi-circle shape.

To make the sentiment, I used the One-Go Birthday Greeting Stamp & Die Bundle. It's an amazing sentiment set that I've been using almost exclusively recently. You can create lots of sentiment strips in one go using it (hence, the name). I stamped the sentiments using the Jet Black Dye Ink onto a Solar White Cardstock and then die-cut them all at once using the die.

I picked up one sentiment from the batch I created and popped it onto the card. A yellow jute twine bow added to the card finished it off. If you need more card ideas featuring the new products from this month's release, check out our recent blog hop.

Before you go, here are a few card ideas featuring this new coordinating die and stencil set!

ALTENEW 01 Rose Buds Golden Stream Washi Anna Mahtani

Anna's top folding tri-fold card is simply stunning! To add some shimmer and shine, she swiped the inner parts of the leaves and flowers with the edge of an embossing ink pad, sprinkled Antique Gold Embossing Powder, brushed off the excess in areas I did not want, then heat set it. She also fussy cut the edge and added two layers of the Golden Stream Washi Tape. Find out how she created her card here.

When in doubt, use vellum! We love how Terri popped her sentiment on a vellum panel, adding some texture and interest while still making the rose buds pop.
