Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today I'll be sharing how you can break the no adhesive on vellum rule and create a beautifully soft effect.
I started by stamping the large image from Celebrate Today Stamp Set onto a piece of Vellum. This was stamped using Embossing Ink and then heat set using Pure White Embossing Powder. I then flipped this over and colored the images using Artist Markers. I used Citrus Burst and Fresh Lemon Markers for the flower centers, Pink Diamond and Pinkalicious Markers for the rose like flowers, Dew Drops and Aqualicious Markers for the daisy like flowers and Firefly and Grass Field Markers for the leaves. Once the images were colored I added the sheet to some Double Sided Adhesive. Normally you shouldn't add adhesive to anywhere it would show on vellum, but as this adhesive is clear and it covers the whole of the image, it works perfectly. Then I cut these using the coordinating die.
I added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of patterned paper from Essentials Rock Collection 6×6 Paper Pack to a white 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. Then added the die cut vellum stickers into place. Once I had cut the over-hanging pieces off, I then decided to create an other card so I added these to the off-cut of the pattern paper piece. The sentiments are from Label Love Stamp Set and were stamped using Pure Graphite Ink.

Beautifully done.
Beautiful cards! What did you used on the stamps prior to inking?
Are the artist markers alcohol or water based? x
These are gorgeous!!
Wow!!! Soooo Beautiful!!! Love these delicate looking cards!!!
I love the look of vellum colored from backside. Beautiful and elegant! Thanks for sharing.
Great tip on adhesive.
I loved Jaycee “Perfect Pairing” last week where he did the same technique and made a shaker card to hide the Adhesive. I made a similar Card using washi tape to adhere the vellum to the card stock but now must try it with the double sided Adhesive sheet. Makes a great Mothers Day Card, Thanks Lydia.
