We are hosting another fun blog hop and sharing lots of inspiration using the new Bold and Beautiful Stamps, Dies, Stencils, and Embossing Folders Collection for the month of August. We have a wide variety of new products to share with you, from flowers to sentiments, which you can check out HERE.
Be bold, and be beautiful! This release includes fabulous florals, a geometric background, and even a set of sentiments perfect for the bibliophile in your life! We know you will love creating all kinds of inspiring projects with the stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders in this release. It's time to get crafty!
Emily Midgett here with you today to kick things off on the Altenew blog. I found the new sentiment stamp sets to be most intriguing, filled with such a wide variety of useful and poignant greetings that are fit for so many occasions.
I have two projects to share with you today, so let's get started with the details!
Bold & Beautiful Project Inspiration
Both of my projects feature lovely sentiments as their main focus, using sentiments from both the new Well-Read stamp set and the new One-Go Birthday Greetings stamp set. I kept the color scheme light and pleasant, maintaining lots of white space with pops of pink and mint and adding some gold shine to both projects.
My first project is a birthday card that I created for my daughter's BFF using the new One-Go Birthday Greetings stamp set.
I began by heat embossing the stamp onto some white cardstock using gold embossing powder. This stamp set is particularly handy because you stamp all of the sentiments at once, then use the coordinating die to die cut them all in one pass through your die-cut machine. This allows you to have a stash of birthday sentiments just waiting to be adhered to your project! Such a handy and clever design!
Next, I die cut several elements from the Celebrate with Cake die set, keeping things youthful and sweet with a pink, aqua, and gold color scheme and adding gold glitter accents from the Gilded Glitter Cardstock Set. I also die cut a sweet little lace edge from white cardstock using the Creative Edges: Lace Die to keep things feminine and sweet.
I adhered the lace, glitter strip, and cake to a card base that I created using gold hot foil and the Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate.
The multiple gold accents add a little glam to this sweet birthday card!
Once I've added the die-cut elements, I added one last touch of gold using the Inline Alpha dies to cut “hbd” from Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock. I tucked it behind the gold glitter 8 on the cake using liquid adhesive, finally adding the sentiment from the new One-Go Birthday Greetings with a double layer of Instant Dimension Foam Tape to help it stand out even more.
I began by gold embossing the dahlia and foliage from Dazzling Dahlia onto some white cardstock. I used alcohol markers to add intense pink and pale minty green to the flower and leaves using the Island Garden and Sunshine Valley marker sets. Once the coloring was complete, I die cut the finished images with the coordinating dies.
Next, I die cut the card base using the Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die from some white cardstock to create a very subtle textured background for my vivid flowers. I also die cut a few sprigs of foliage and an oval frame from some Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock using the Create-A-Wreath dies. I arranged the frame and floral die-cuts on the textured white card base, adhering them with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
Finally, I created the sentiment panel by heat-embossing the beautifully poignant sentiment from the Well-Read stamp set using gold embossing powder.
The Well-Read stamp set contains a huge variety of beautiful literary quotes that are perfect for so many occasions. A must-have for any book lover!
I trimmed the panel down and added it to the card front using more foam tape.
Well, that's all for my bold and beautiful card projects today! Now for some fun giveaway and free gift info!
