Hello, everyone!
Svitlana is here. Today, I want to share a floral birthday card featuring an amazing Fairy Tale Florals Stamp Set from the recent Altenew release.
I was eyeing this teal, brown, and gold color combo for a while, waiting for the perfect card design to use it on. When I saw this stamp set, I knew it was the one.
To color the floral element, I used the Artist Markers Water Garden Set G using teals for flowers and browns for leaves. First, I stamped the outline image onto a Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock panel using the Teal Cave Crisp Dye Ink for flowers and Milk Chocolate Crisp Dye Ink for leaves. After that, I colored the whole piece using said markers.
I left the stamp set mounted in the mini MISTI which I used for stamping.
After I finished coloring, I placed the panel back to the MISTI and stamped over the same outline design with the Embossing Ink. Next, I embossed it using the Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.
When you do Artist Markers coloring paired with embossing, it's important to use embossing after coloring. The markers are alcohol-based and they will color over embossing. For the cleaner result, it's better to use embossing afterwards.
On the next step, I went ahead and gold embossed the “shading” of each element using stamps from the same set. Followed by die cutting it using the matching die.
I made a panel out of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and blended the Teal Cave Crisp Dye Ink onto it. Then, I added splatters of the same ink onto the panel and foam mounted the floral element onto it.
Then I also added the Pure White Ink Spray splatters onto the panel and after they dried foam mounted it onto a white card base.
Lastly, I popped up the sentiment strip which was made by white embossing a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set onto a Jet Black Cardstock strip.
I hope you like the card I shared today. I really like this stamp set. It's so great for coloring and more.
Have a wonderful day!
