Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop Project Inspiration

Today, I'll be sharing a fun technique to give a faux sketched look to kickstart the Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop for this month.Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop

I started by stamping the large image from the Cherry Blossoms Bunch Stamp Set repeatedly onto a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ panel of white cardstock using Vanilla Cream Crisp Dye Ink. Once that was done, I colored the images using the coordinating Cherry Blossoms Bunch Layering Stencil Set. I used Strawberry, Orange Cream, Lemon Ice, Mint Choc, Blueberry, and Soft Lilac Crisp Dye Ink for the flowers and Pistachio Crisp Dye Ink for the leaves.

To add extra interest and the ‘faux sketched' look, I added details using Woodless Coloring Pencils. I traced around the outlines of the images and added simple shading to create this effect. I used Rubellite, Orange Cream, Maple Yellow, Grass Field, Volcano Lake, Tide Blue, Midnight Violet, and Yellow Ochre Pencils. Lydia's project inspiration for the Blossoming Creativity Blog HopOnce I completed the panel, I trimmed 1/2″ off of one edge. Before adding this to my card base, I added a strip of patterned paper from the Essential Black & White Paper Pack. The sentiment is from Bold Sentiments Stamp Set.20221022 111408 1To see how this card came together, please watch the video below. Or over on YouTube:
