Hello and Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating it now.
Svitlana is here today.
It's a little bit sad that the holidays are almost over and it's less then a week left till 2016. Speaking of which. Today I want to share a card inspired by Pantone color of the year 2016, which this time combines two soft shades. I am not very concerned about a color of the year in other aspects of life (like clothes, home decor or makeup), but always looking forward for the new Pantone color to create a card according to it. It's always fun to go through my stash checking which supplies can fit for the new color.
To make this card I first cut a panel from Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and created two-shades background inking the right side using Frosty Pink crisp ink (which plays role of Rose Quartz shade) and the left side – using Sea Glass one (assigned this to be Serenity).
Next I white-embossed several flowers from Painted Flowers stamps set and adhered them on the diagonal where two background colors meet. Using dimensional adhesive added a white-embossed sentiment (from Beautiful Lady stamps set) on a stripe of white cardstock that was inked then the same was as the panel background was.
Added several sequins of corresponding colors and adhered the panel to a Classic Crest Solar White cardstock card base.
I like how embossed flowers compliment softness and gentleness of the background.
Hope you are having a great long weekend.
