Hello everyone and welcome to our August Guest Designer post!
We have an awesome treat for you today! We have the talented Olga Moss as our August Guest Designer and she will be sharing some incredibly beautiful projects with you. When it comes to vibrant, fun, and creative cards, Olga gets an A for effort! Her cards will surely inspire you to think outside the box. But, first, let's get to know her!
Hello, my name is Olga Moss. I am the mother of two boys, a cat, and a dog, and they are my whole world and my inspiration. My real passion is card making and I cannot imagine my life without it anymore. For me, card making is multifaceted! And I really love to observe it from different angles, grope, and savor!
I found my style and follow it while trying to constantly improve and learn something new. Card making enthralls me with its technicality, regularity, but at the same time, it's a fairy tale story for me. I love working with new stamps and dies; the process of using them inspires me more and more. And I am so excited to be the guest designer on the Altenew blog today!
Let’s start admiring Olga's marvelous projects!
I have four cards to share with you today – featuring the July 2018 Release.
I really like to mix together different sets from Altenew – they perfectly match with each other, don't they? So, for my first card, I combined the Life Is Awesome Stamp Set and the Leaf Frame Cover Die to make a frame with the elegant-looking flowers.
For more elegance, I cut out the window in the center of the base. It's no secret that I like to stamp and stamp, and I can do it non-stop. Therefore, my absolute favorites in card making are not only Altenew's layered stamps but also their inks. So, to create the flowers here, I used the Green Meadows Mini Cube Set, Pocketful of Sunshine Mini Cube Set, and Deep Blue Seas Mini Cube Set for the flowers, and Tropical Forest Mini Cube Set for the leaves.
My second card is quite simple, but it looks very impressive and festive. If you use Altenew's inks, then you will agree with me that they differ from other inks in terms of brightness and color saturation – the result is simply excellent. So, to the above colors, I also added the Red Sunset Mini Cube Set.
For the third card, I chose my favorite card shape – a circle. If you have read my blog, you probably know that I am a fan of these cards! I am ready to do them anytime, anywhere. Also, this shape is ideal for creating flower compositions and with the application of my favorite style – using my favorite twigs from the Forever and a Day Die Set around the perimeter – the cards look especially atmospheric.
The background was made with one of my favorite stencils – Elegant Swirls. I imposed one part on top of the other and got the effect of clouds.
For the sentiment, I used the charming Floral Alphabet Stamp & Die Bundle.
And finally, for the last card, I used the Circle Embroidery Hoop Die Set with Sewn with Love Stamp Set.
For some added detail, I first made holes with the help of the Sewn with Love Die Set and then I stamped the flower.
As a result, I have a realistic handmade card. It looks so awesome!
Wow. We are simply in awe of these beautiful and creative projects!
How stunning are Olga's cards?! We absolutely loved them! We hope you enjoyed looking at her projects as much as we did. Make sure to visit her blog and send her some love.
